WDFW Raffle Hunt Question
« on: June 23, 2021, 11:28:33 PM »
The raffle rules say you can hunt from Sept 1 to Dec 31.   Can I hunt with modern rifle during archery and muzzleloader seasons or the weapon that goes with the season at the time?

When there’s a season going, you have to hunt with the appropriate weapon. When there’s no season, you’re free to use your rifle.

that is not correct. You can hunt with a rifle September 1 to December 31 with a rifle. The incentive tags you have to use the correct weapon during the respective season. So the answer to your question, yeas you can use a rifle.

Well, I thought Josh was correct, just read the regs and You may be correct teanawayslayer.  It's not spelled out the best but any legal weapon may be used it says.

Teanaway is right.  You can party with a rifle the whole time.

From the regs.

If selected, any legal weapon may be used during the hunt.

So if I'm in a area that is open for archery deer I can hunt elk with a rifle if I won the raffle.  Kinda goes against hunter orange requirements.

Yep you are correct. And the other most important thing to know about the raffle tags is:    to not talk about the raffle tags

this is correct, as Karl said also.  My buddy had the raffle a couple years ago.  And we were partying with a rifle when guys had bows and muzzys!😂
